hello all again..

I live in a neighborhood, with tiny lots, and lots of covenants.

(yes, by choice...great tennis community...)

anyhow..we've recently been experimenting with some " pot " agriculture

inside our lanai..

for fruit " trees " (tiny right now) we have: lime, lemon and tangerine

and just started some Earthbox (they're on the web...nice containers:

clever and simple, self-watering " - at least they hold some

water....) containers - we've started some cucumbers, some bell

peppers, and a tomato plant. planning celery, lettuce and spinach

(figuring out if we're too late this season for the latter two...we

think we are...may wait until the Fall..) we're in like zone 10a.

and am using one box currently for " green " manure - where I'll plant

some wheat, let it just get to " wheatgrass " juice height, and then

I'll turn it back under... and, at a minimum, we'll be able to use it

to rotate some crops in and out...

doesn't compare to some of the bigger, multi-acre sites we've

gardened, and it's fun.

all the best,

Bob
