2005 5:37 AM [Raw Food] muscle definition

Hello everyone - I wanted to do an update on Nick and I - we are both well -

we went to the movies last night - usually have a BIG ice-cream there - but

last night we took a bag of grapes each and ate them instead - cant say it

was EASY (the icecream is a bit special there but last time I ate it I

wasbut we did it so that is a first and means we stay 100% raw.

Nick has discarded 14lbs in weight - he is a very active man playing lots of

sport and running etc., and he is now very slim but with great muscle

definition and a very attractive look about him.

Before raw Nick used to snack every night on salted peanuts (vegetarian but

worried about getting enough protein!!!) - he would eat quite a lot of these

things - he had tried to lose 7 lbs forever but couldn't get any weight off.

He is so pleased with how he looks and feels now - he is enjoying being raw

as I am - he says he is going to join the group too - I hope he does and

then he can tell you himself!

Love Lynne

Hi Lynne,

Thanks so much for sharing this with the group, as we discussed!! I'll fill

in a bit of accompanying explanation.

Try a bit of research. Look at OLD photographs (50+ years) of people who are

very trim and have excellent muscle definition. Compare these with similar

photographs of people today. In most cases, you'll notice two completely

different images of " well-defined muscles. " Those in the older group will

appear smaller but VERY lean and clean-looking. In contrast, those in the

present-day group will probably appear large but rather bulky and

ill-defined in comparison with the first group.

Why?

Everyone in the present-time group is consuming lots of " protein " (whatever

that actually means in each person's diet) and salt, among other things. The

body is unable to remove all the excess/toxins, so the body puts the

materials into solution in either water (for water-soluble material such as

salt) or fat (for fat-soluble material). Much of this encapsulated trash is

then stored under the skin and in the muscles. This can create the illusion

of very large muscles, but when you begin eating a really healthy diet, the

body eliminates the trash, and what remains is the true muscle, looking

REALLY GOOD!!!!

Just one more benefit of living in harmony with Nature!

Best to all,

Elchanan

NOTE: Physical activity is an integral part of healthful living. Eating a

wonderful diet is not a substitute for physical activity, you cannot create

healthy, strong lean tissue by eating alone. The body constructs lean tissue

in response to activity, specifically load and impact.
