A quick question. Can celery go in a blender? Or does it get it's strings

all tangled in there? I'm waiting on my new Vita Mix which I assume can

handle this, but in the meanwhile....If it is a problem, can I chop it up

and then put it in? Thanks, Lane

_____

I typically break or cut the stalks into 3-4 segments, because I find it

easier to put them into the blender that way. (It is not " necessary, " as far

as I can tell.)

I also try and put the softer, wetter ingredients in first -- bananas,

dates, etc., but frankly I sometimes forget and it still works out fine. The

only times I've ever had a " problem " were either when I stuff so much celery

in sideways that it didn't fall to the bottom when I turned on the Vita-Mix,

or when I got a tiny piece of leaf or stalk caught in the lid. But I

consider these both " user errors, " not " celery design errors. "
