FW: SF Vegan Bakesale Flyer and Info!

Hello animal people -- Here's the information you've all been waiting for about the upcoming Vegan Bakesale to benefit GiveMeShelter Cat Rescue!!!

 

 

The Vegan Bakesale SF will be this Saturday, October 17th in front of Ike's Place (3506 16th St at Sanchez in SF, www.ilikeikesplace.com). 11 am to 4 pm. All proceeds to go to Give Me Shelter Cat Rescue (http://www.givemesheltersf.org/). They do amazing work and are in desperate need of funds to rescue cats who are on death row, to buy food and litter for those cats, and to pay any vet bills for these cats. GiveMeShelter is the main rescue group in the city, and has taken in (SAVED!) hundreds of adoptable cats who were "declined" by Animal Care & Control and the San Francisco SPCA and would have been killed if it hadn't been for Lana and her amazing group of volunteers (this is a 100% volunteer-run rescue -- and all donations go DIRECTLY to help the cats) who help foster the cats and then get them "forever" homes.

 

Just so you can see where your dollars are going when you buy goodies at the Bake Sale, Lana Bajsel (Founder and Executive Director of GiveMeShelter) will be at the bake sale with at least four cats and/or kittens who will be available for adoption to wonderful homes. So please stop by to see these cats, who were saved from Death Row by GMS.

 

The flyer is attached. If you can't access it, please email me directly and I'll send it to you. Please distribute it widely! Post it to your blog, send them to your email list, print out copies and put them up at shops (especially near Ike's!) and go crazy with them!There are 40+ bakers signed up to donate goodies to the Bakesale, so please, please plan to stop by on Saturday -- and forward this email as widely as possible. The cats thank you!!
