Hi folks,First, please note the Incanto protest previously announced is postponed while we focus on getting this resolution passed and continue communication with the owners. Please write/call/fax your Supervisor to SUPPORT Supervisor Mirkarimi's Resolution 090347 commending restaurants for removing cruel foie gras. The list of supervisors is here:

http://www.sfgov.org/site/bdsupvrs_index.asp?id=7271You can view the resolution here:http://www.sfgov.org/site/uploadedfiles/bdsupvrs/bosagendas/materials/090347.pdf

The item will be addressed at the Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, so letters are needed by Monday!Keep them short and to the point. Here is a sample:Dear Supervisor _____________:I live at ______________ and would like you to support Supervisor Mirkarimi's Resolution 090347 commending restaurants for removing cruel foie gras. This product of animal torture will be illegal in California effective 2012, and restaurants that have removed it sooner deserve to be commended.

The city councils of San Diego and West Hollywood have both passed similar resolutions within the past year, and the Animal Control & Welfare Commission for San Francisco has unanimously recommended that the Board pass this. Thank you for your attention to this important animal cruelty matter.

Sincerely,[Your name]Thanks everyone for your hard work on this campaign! More info is at www.aprl.org/foiegras.html and www.banfoiegras.org.

Supervisor Mirkarimi (Ross.Mirkarimi) on the email to your

supervisor so he can keep track and see the support!
