Debbie in Alaska hi debbie in alaska when i make a sauce for pasta for instance tomato and garlic, i also chuck in a handful of dried soya......adds protein..... catherine
Guest guest Report post Posted January 11, 2004 Where would I find this....would it be in the natural foods department or would I have to go to a specialty store to find it? Debbie in Alaska Quinoa is a grain that's high protein, pulses are good & low fat.
Guest guest Report post Posted January 11, 2004 > but the proteins from the grains are not > the right kind...I never thought about asking " Why they are not.... " I have now put > that on my question list.... Hmmmm. I wonder why not? I don't understand the surgery you've had, and even if I did I am no medical person so . . . But 70 to 90 grams of protein does seem a tad high, to be guilty of incredible understatement *lol* Yes, do ask. And I'd be curious as to the answer. Guest guest Report post Posted August 24, 2004 Hi Brittany, I too am a beginner. The one thing that has gotten me through is the frozen vegatable and lots of fresh friut and home made lemonde instead of soda. Everything I eat tastes really good. I do have any particular recepies other than keep it really good and try not to look for a meat replacement. What made me change to being a vegatarian is the sheer taste of meat changed. Plus I really don't like what has been coming up regarding disease and stuff. The fish too has been more contaminated than ever. So I know what you mean as far as it being the right choice. Bye 4 now... --- melancholytears6 <melancholytears6 wrote: > Hey im new here as you can probably see.anyway im > not realy > vegetarian or anything but im in the process of > becoming. because i > really feel that it is the right thing for me to do. > so i just > wanted to share that with every one. alright see > y'all later > Brittany > >

Guest guest Report post Posted September 8, 2007 Hi Virginia: Welcome aboard! another group you may like is cholesteroal_management. There is a wealth of information there as well as a lot of really great recipes for a lot of widely cultural healthy food. I also belong to this group and have found some really great recipes as well as information about eating healthy. I have just started 'turning vegetarian' after a lifetime of eating badly, and I find that I actually like it much better (not eating meat). In any event, welcome! PS I live in the middle of a city and would love to live in the 'hills.' I am so envious....Virginia Virkus <pig wrote: Just joined this group on a whim, cause i'm a "junk food" vegetarian who's looking for some quick, easy & more healthy recipes, ideas & tips.I'm a 40something fat, female potter.
