Guest guest Posted July 3, 2007 Report Share Posted July 3, 2007 Spicy Cabbage with Mandarin Oranges 3 mandarin oranges 2 tablespoons sherry vinegar or 1 tablespoon each sherry and red wine vinegar 1 tablespoon chile oil or 1 chile pepper sautéed a few minutes in 1 tablespoon canola oil 2 tablespoons sugar kosher salt to taste 1 pound red cabbage, shredded cayenne pepper to taste Peel and section oranges, remove membranes, and cut in half crosswise. Set aside. Put oil in a wok over medium-high heat and add cabbage. Stir a few times, lower heat and cook, covered, 5 minutes. Combine vinegar and sugar in a cup. Add salt and cayenne pepper to taste.
