jazmincatt: " Hi I am looking for mock chicken, beef, and seafood

stock

recipes. Thanks in advance. "

I will be on the lookout for some of those. They would be good to

have in our

files for a reference. I usually just use the buillons, but they are

more for

speed and convenience. Nothing really can replace a good homemade

stock.

Binxie: " This is fast, easy, and tasty. Hope you will try it.

Quinoa - Corn

Chowder "

This does sound wonderful. Thanks, Binxie, and welcome to the group.

Margot: " Thank you for the invitation :) I'm 26 years old female from

Poland.

I do eat white meat right now but for almost 10 years I've been

vegetarian. "

Welcome to the group, Margot. While some folks wouldn't consider you

a

vegetarian since you still eat animals, TIME magazine actually had an

article

listing all the different types of vegetarians, and you would be

considered a

pesco-pollo-vegetarian according to what you eat. I thought that was

interesting anyway. I used to be like you, but now I am a lacto-ovo

vegetarian.

Before that I always called myself a " redmeat abstainer " when folks

tried to

tell me I was a vegetarian. But all that aside, I look forward to

reading your

posts. :)

gussan: " hi everyone- my name is gus from detroit and i've your

newest

vegan group member.

Welcome to the group, gus. Always nice to have another vegan in our

midst.

Matt: " Hi, my name is Matt, I'm a 27 year old musician living in Los

Angeles,

and I've been a vegetarian for over 4 years now. "

Welcome to the group, Matt. More specifically what type of vegetarian

are

you? I imagine there are many wonderful places to shop and dine out

that

cater to your food needs in LA.

Lizard : " Also, tofu is a *great* egg-replacer. 2oz of tofu for each

egg that

the recipe calls for. I usually get the silken tofu, but if you want

a

firmer batch of brownies or whatever you're cooking, get firmer tofu

=0) "

That is good to know. Thanks for that tip! :)

Laura, I enjoyed that poem you shared. *lol* 'Vegan's Ode To Soy'

Gary: " I only used canellini beans very recently in a recipe (which

I should

post, was from local newspaper). I didn't see them in the fresh

produce

section but I did find them canned. "

Yes! Please do post this recipe when you have time. Good to see ya. :)
