Guest guest
I thought I posted this question once, but as it's not in my Send queue, I'm only imagining that I did... My question to you is this: do you see any problems with the procedure given below and how often could this flush be performed? Thank you in advance (and my apologies if I did ask this already). Directions: On an empty stomach, drink a quart of salt water (2 tsp of sea salt) in the morning. Lay on your right side for 30 minutes (there's something about an 'opening' on the right side). I was told that this pushes out toxins and cleans the colon...and "will push everything out". And that it did. For the record, I could only handle 1 tsp of sea salt, and my diet is nowhere near where I want it to be... Lisa Got a little couch potato? Check out fun summer activities for kids. Guest guest
You can commit suicide by ingesting too much salt, so I am NOT fond of those kind of flushes. I believe it puts a terrible stress on the system and forces the body to get rid of this excess salt/poison and thereby will move out other things a long with it, but this is NOT the natural way to do things. I would prefer to have a person do a juice fast, even just for 1 day. The colon and liver get congested because of the toxic diet that we eat. If we force it to do things it's not ready for (due to lack of nutrients/energy) then we will force our body to use up it's nutrient reserves. Remember to flush toxins takes Calcium and so Where is that calcium coming from???? Yes - our bones. Hmmm sounds like a good way to get osteoporosis to me! Be GENTLE with your body and by eating a rawfood diet, drinking plenty of water, getting proper sleep and relaxation along with a positive attitude will do FAR more for helping the body be restored to health than a "salt flush". Guest guest
Thank you for the responses. My goal is to make improvements in my life where this type of thing will not be a factor, but in my current state of sub-optimal health, I'm always on the look-out for how I can improve things...some other way(s). There are many opposing viewpoints on this (and everything else!), so doing what works for each individual is the only way. I would venture to say that even within our own systems, answers can be unclear. All we can do is the best we can do...
