Guest guest
Roger, For clarity - scarring is more frequent when oils, salves, etc (even Vit E, etc) are applied to open wounds. The edges of the new skin do not " approximate " (come together) as efficiently or cleanly when there is an oily surface. Once clean (H2O2, Calendula succus, dragon's blood, iodine, water, etc), wounds approximate and heal faster and less scarring when left dry and approximated, healing from within, outward (by first intention), then oils (like Vit E, etc) are best applied afterwards to nurture and soothe/protect the new skin.
