" James Twyman will be leading a pilgrimage from Assisi, Italy to Rome

beginning September 12, culminating in a special meeting with Pope

Benedict.

 

ON SEPTEMBER 11, THE FOURTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE 9/11 ATTACK, OVER HALF A

MILLION OTHERS WILL HELP INITIATE THE ROME WALK WITH A DAY LONG

PILGRIMAGE FROM PERUGIA TO ASSISI. THIS WILL BE ONE OF THE LARGEST PEACE

PRAYER EVENTS IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD.

 

This is the tenth anniversary of the Perugia/Assisi walk, hosted by

Tavoladellapace (Table of Peace - www.tavoladellapace.it) and it coincides

with the tenth anniversary of James' ministry as the Peace Troubadour.

It has been ten years since he first performed the prayers in Assisi.

In 1995 James performed the music he arranged to the peace prayers from

the twelve major religions of the world in Assisi, prayers that were

first prayed in Assisi by the leaders of those religions, led by Pope

John Paul II and the Dalai Lama. James and his group will play an

important role as the 500,000 pilgrims from the Tavoladellspace group walk to

Assisi, then " pass the torch " which will then be carried by James' group

to Rome and Vatican City. "

with a Papal audience where he, joined by Earthdance International founder,

conference taking place in Assisi.

 

Meanwhile, Earthdance International is coordinating a global peace event taking

place in hundreds of cities around the world to dance and pray for peace the

weekend of September 17th. The highlight of the Earthdance International event

is a simultaneous dance-floor link up, when every event across the world plays

the Prayer for Peace.

 

We are asking the people of the world to both join us in prayer on September
