Eating Sprouted Grain

Buckwheat is not classified as a grain, but as a fruit. I found this in a

search for Buckwheat:

Buckwheat is actually a fruit (not a cereal grain). It is the fruit of the

dicotyledonious plant, a member of the family Polygonaceae, which is quite

distinct from the grass family Gramineae*, and is actually more closely related

to rhubarb.

buckwheaties. Buckwheat is an oat groat, I think that is a grain, but I

could be wrong "
