I was looking for some arame at wild oats today and just happened to glance at the back of the package looking for nutritional information and (can't remember the brand name, sorry) the description said " steamed before being sun-dried " . So, like i said, if possible, read the packaging. Some brands of sea veggies may be just naturally sun-dried, making them raw-diet compatible, others may be steamed or other method of cooking before drying. Something I hadn't thought of before.
