i would figure beers from Great Lakes Brewing would be pretty easy to find

I think you'd like a number of their beers...they make a variety of german style beers: pils, alt, dortmunder...

i love traditonal beers...i love new styles..i love beers

i just never understand why brewers in the Uk have to use isinglass

so what if its traditional..so was killing a pig over the vats and letting the blood drop into it to clarify it...

just means you have to do a lot of research when you drink english beers

i would definately say use of isinglass has gone up in the UK..it started climbing in the 70's when CAMRA started pushing for more traditional english beers...

do know it's been really tough to find for so long it's ridiculous.

It'd be nice once in a while to just have a beer. I can really only

find Bud, Busch, and Miller around here...no huge surprise, so I'm

writing down names for my shopping excursions...I literally go to

several other cities for " basics " , so now a few beers are on that

list.

 

I finally figured out two organic vegan wines, I found a wine shop in

Yellow Springs.

I would put the figure for British beers as low as 20% and thats being optimistic, mostly bottled and mostly smaller brewers..... .

LOL I don't have a whole lot of luck finding beer I'd want to drink anyway, then add in the fact I'm not exactly sure what's vegan, it kinda makes me just go for juice. There is one pub in Newport that sells it , and one place in Cardiff that sells it, but no matter how much I nag supermarkets & Sam Smiths they just wont get together to sell it, yet you can find American beer there?!?!?! WTF?

macro american beers have been coming into yer area for years

and there are agreements with local mega breweries there to make crap like miller there

also, several shiploads of assorted micro brews have been consolidated and shipped over t oeurope in the last 6 months

There is one pub in Newport that sells it , and one place in Cardiff that sells it, but no matter how much I nag supermarkets & Sam Smiths they just wont get together to sell it, yet you can find American beer there?!?!?! WTF?

i would definately say use of isinglass has gone up in the UK..it started climbing in the 70's when CAMRA started pushing for more traditional english beers...

samuel smiths should be ok..most of em anyways...

I would put the figure for British beers as low as 20% and thats being optimistic, mostly bottled and mostly smaller brewers..... .

LOL I don't have a whole lot of luck finding beer I'd want to drink anyway, then add in the fact I'm not exactly sure what's vegan, it kinda makes me just go for juice. So, what beers are vegan AND don't taste like...well you know...?<grin>I actually cook with beer when I make sauerkraut, but a few of the beers I used were gross.Maybe beer will be easier to find than good vegan "cheese"...LOLI never thought about the universe, it made me feel small

actually I just like their " Sea Dog " Beers, they're ok, and have DATES

on them so you don't buy something stale. Dates are important with beer

as most people don't know has a shelf life.
