Guest guest
Miller Joins the Hunt with Blaze Orange Can and Hunting-Themed Packaging Posted by: Jason on Tuesday - September 04, 2007 - 13:50 UTC Topic Origin: News & Opinions MILWAUKEE, WI (Sep 2007) – Since its introduction in 1903, Miller High Life has joined countless hunting trips throughout the United States, providing high-quality refreshment as hunters swap stories after a day in the woods, field or marsh. This fall, Miller High Life is donning its own blaze orange attire and hunting-themed packaging to make sure consumers are properly equipped for their post-hunt celebrations. The hunt for the High Life begins Sept. 1, as the limited-edition packages hit store shelves in select markets throughout the United States*. Proceeds from the sale of the hunting-themed packaging, available in 24 and 30-pack cans, will contribute to Miller High Life’s continued support of Whitetails Unlimited, Pheasants Forever and the National Wild Turkey Federation. “Miller High Life has been closely associated with the outdoors and hunting for more than 100 years, so this initiative is truly a reflection of many of our consumers, and a way to acknowledge their support of Miller High Life,†said High Life senior brand manager Kevin Oglesby. “Plus, now it will be even easier to spot a can of Miller High Life in a hunter’s crowded refrigerator.†The High Life hunting packaging is scheduled to remain on store shelves through October, but supplies may vary from market to market. * High Life hunting packaging is available in select markets in all states except for AK, CA, CT, GA, HI, MA, NH and NV. Guest guest
So, are they kinda like the Nature Conservancy? I was absolutely surprised to find out that they do kill some animals, birds I think. Pheasants are amazing to watch, albeit pretty funny at times. I moved to woods that actually had pheasants when I was 11. Considering it was in the middle of the city, it was like a different planet! LOL Pheasants would attack, and damage, my mom's car's chrome bumper, thinking they were fighting another bird. The insurance adjuster came to our house and didn't believe us...until we had him look out the window, a pheasant was doing exactly the same thing to his bumper. <grin> , " Tracy H. Guest guest
Oh, well, technically west central Ohio (I tend to think of it more as " hell " )...LOL Not uncommon to see freshly killed deer hung up on basketball hoops to bleed out. Add to that the number of active Klan, burning crosses, etc. it just sux here. Glad to hear you're alive and relatively in one piece! I did a stint (helped in triage) in an area ER over Memorial Day holiday years ago and it gave me nightmares. I used to like Hudapohl, but I can't seem to find it anywhere now. I liked the richness of Guinness, but as soon as I found out about what was in it, that hit the trash. What kinda spoiled me was when I was in Austria and Germany, the beer there was cold (pop wasn't). I should've written down the names, but I thought I'd remember...of course I didn't. LOL I do drink Heinekin sometimes...oh please don't tell me it's bad? Actually do tell me so I won't keep it! <grin> Sorry to be so vague...it's not on purpose. Guest guest
hudepohl brands are hard to find now beecause they were recently bought by someone else in cicnci the quick version Schoenling bought Hudepohl out in the mid to late 80's Schoenling-Hudepohl brewing was sold to Boston beer company in the late 90's(sam adams). the hudepohl and schoenling line of beers were moved to contract brewers. the owners of S-H then sold the rights to some other investment group, who's name escapes me... finally...last year, a brewery in Cinci bought the rights to several of Hudepohl's brands so, the beer has moved around a lot...wrecks havoc on distro... tofuchick24 Sep 6, 2007 12:56 PM Re: like i needed ANOTHER reason to not drink Miller Oh, well, technically west central Ohio (I tend to think of it more as "hell")...LOL Not uncommon to see freshly killed deer hung up on basketball hoops to bleed out. Add to that the number of active Klan, burning crosses, etc. it just sux here.Glad to hear you're alive and relatively in one piece! <grin>Sorry to be so vague...it's not on purpose.
