Guest guest Report post Posted August 29, 2007 I'm debating on whether or not to cut my hair off or to perm it. I'm just not exactly sure what's IN a perm and would it be vegan? I've grown my hair out for about 13 years, so if I cut it I'm going to donate it. Fwiw, I'd have either process done at a shop, I have absolutely NO talent with hair...lol Thanks! Guest guest Report post Posted August 30, 2007 Lots and lots o' chemicals. Don't know whether it's vegan, though. How about donating your hair and not getting a perm?tofuchick24 <tofuchick wrote: I'm debating on whether or not to cut my hair off or to perm it. Guest guest Report post Posted August 30, 2007 I'm leaning towards the cut/donate. I try not to eat chemicals, so it does seem a bit off to smear 'em all over my scalp. LOL I guess what was holding me back was that waaay back as a teen I had short hair and I kept getting called " sir " . Dumb reason, I know, and the chemicals smell so bad I can't imagine they're all that safe! Thanks! , " Tracy H. " <denise_h22 wrote: > > Lots and lots o' chemicals. If my only vegan option is to do it myself then it's not really an option. I was serious that I just can't do anything reasonable with hair...not even cutting bangs. LOL My daughter still gets the shivers over " trims " . Thanks!
miss360 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2012 Sure, it's like 5 years after you wrote it but I just found this thread. You don't eat chemicals. really? are we ignoring the fact that EVERYTHING is chemicals. EVERYTHING IS CHEMICALS. I'm a vegan, and a bit of a hippie, but I avoid stupid things that I think I should say because it SOUNDS like it's right. PS, organic fruit isn't pesticide free, it's just sprayed with natural pesticides which is actually more dangerous to humans because it's a general killer whereas synthetic pesticides are custom designed to kill insects with little or no harm to humans. That's the kind of thing that you can do when you manipulate nature.
