Guest guest Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 Well, traditionally, you have jelly on the bottom ( melted hooves and that ), and before it sets you chuck in some fruit, or some of those wierd sponge cake fingers broken in half ( aerated cardboard and sugar?), then you add a layer of custard ( cow puss etc ) and then on top a layer of whipped cow puss ( cream ), and sprinkled with hundreds and thousands ( of e numbers that is ) or grated chocolate. I have had one in the past made with vegan jelly with som tinned mandarins, and a layer of vegan custard with some grated chocky on the top, and it was nice. Hard work trying to get vegan jelly to set though sometimes........... I think you have to have sponge cakes in the jelly though - and you can make your own vegan sponge cakes. It always sets just fine.
