Guest guest
HELP! One of you HAS TO know this! LOL There is a debate in the house. What is the name of the creatures in Episode 4 that try to take R2D2 and C3PO to recycle them. They have the hoods on and glowing eyes. I know, do I not have anything better to do? The answer is no! Guest guest
I never said that I didnt like Dr Who ( although I did give up after Colin Baker ), Blakes 7 was O.K. but the acting was appaling ( sorry Jo - my opinion only ). The original Star Trek was innovative at the time and had some of the cheap production charm that the BBC was legendary for !, and a lot of humour. Susequent Star Treks in my mind are just production line fodder. I wonder if it is something they have in the stores now. Of course now- a-days you can get almost anything over the internet. But they seem in the stores to just focus on the main characters. Zak has a small mix of both the old and new characters. BB Nikki

Guest guest
Hi Peter I must disagree about Star Trek. Although I watched the first incarnation I thought it was very superficial with too much emphasis laid on the 'star style' of Captain Kirk, and too many not properly dressed women acting 'blonde'. Spock was good though. I think the later ones had better acting and more substance. Guest guest
Hi Fraggle, That's a very sweet offer, thank you, but don't go through the trouble. Besides, if in good condition maybe they are worth some cash and you can help finance the move! or the bridge... And definately don't send the booze god to my 7 year old son to visit! lol Nikki , fraggle <EBbrewpunx wrote: > > i know i have some of the original jawas from kenner, circa 78, somewhere up in the attic... > maybe bacchus will pay zak a visit > > assuming i can find em > assuming i can find the time to find em! >

Guest guest
Well we are all different ( thank god?) and all entitled to our own opinions. While a lot of the programme certainly did revolve around the good captain always gets the girl, you mustnt forget the era it was made in, and it did have Uhura played by a black woman on the bridge in charge of comms, which for its time was unheard of. By the way I think Uhura ( or however you spell it ) was Swahili for Freedom? ), so you could say that it contained a bit of a contradiction, men and women in positions of power, plus the odd "conquest" for the old Jimbo. Plus the racial thing was played on big time having a Russian, a Chinese/Japanese ( whatever Sulu was meant to be ) , aVulcan and even a Scotsman all working together. Each to his own.
