2 High school students created this " What kind of Pagan are you? "

Questionnaire

http://quizfarm.com/test.php?q_id=11726

ME:

You scored as Shamanic Pagan.

A shamanic pagan's roots are generally found in Native American

faith. A true love and respect for the earth and all that it yields

is central to their faith. Wisdom is most often found in spirit

guides or totems, who can be animals, ancestors, or spirits. Pagans

who follow this path tend to be far more aware of the delicate web

that interweaves the lives of every person and thus move within that

web accordingly. They're usually deeply insightful, friendly, loving

people and excellent friends and parents. Mysterious and strong, as

well, they are often the protectors of their friends and family as

well as the moral compass for their friends and loved ones.

Hi Nikki

Thanks for the quiz.

" I scored as Celtic Pantheonic Pagan.

Your answers leaned very close to that of the Celtic Pantheon. Very popular

now among pagans, the Celtic Gods seem to draw those who are sensitive and

insightful, but also very passionate about their beliefs. Many Pagan

Holidays are named for this pantheon and here is where you'll find many

stories on Horned God, Green Man, and Druids. You likely either have been or

want to visit Stonehenge one day. Many Arthurian legnds include references

to the Celtic faith, as well. "

Hi Nikki

I put that down to answering " definitely " to the question that Mary is as

important as Jesus in my religion.... but that's largely because neither of

them have much place at all!!!!

Hi Jo

> They got you right then, wouldn't you say?

Well - I wouldn't agree with their definition of Shamanic, since they focus

it on Native American vision-quest style practice, whereas my type of

shamanic element is much more Siberian or Norse. I seem to remember going to

a talk on Zoroastrianism once, and I don't seem to recall agreeing with too

much of it - as I recall there was quite a lot of sexism involved. And I'd

say I have way more Greek than Celtic pantheonicness about me!

Hi jo/nikki,

this is who they said I was

You scored as Eastern Pagan.

Eastern Pagans come in two breeds; The Buddhist-Pagan, who follows the

Buddhist belief of the " middle way " and the Hindu-pagan, who leans to

the Hindu Pantheon of gods. Thoughtful, calm, insightful individuals

are often drawn to Eastern mythology and thought. Enlightenment is

more than a theory; it's a state of mind to aspire to, and there are

certain key elements that you've found in the Eastern paths that offer

to help you on the journey. Those who seek these paths are often the

teachers, the peacemakters and the intellectualists of our world.

that being said, I have no business taking a Pagan quiz,

because I did not recognize half of the names on there

however since you said that it was just for funn. :)

hi peter,

as you can imagine,

Jesus is very strong in the town that I live in.

one of the reasons which I rejected christianity is because

it is very male centered, patri every thing revolves around

the man, he is the ruler etc.

my inlaws in Texas believe that this is the way things should

be and they send me books on

how to be a good wife by letting my man rule.

ha ha. I quickly put those in the donation pile.

I am my own person, genderless and own only

the feminine things that I like.

I am raising my boys to be feminine, as I believe that this makes

a more well rounded man.

the best man is a feminine man because he owns both, this makes him

more powerful.

Hi Nikki/Peter

I found there were quite a few questions that assumed belief in a

deity/deities.

Hi Peter

I think the problem is that there weren't enough questions, or not

enough knowledge by the people who made the quiz - but at least you

came out as Shaman, even if the wrong type. I didn't know you were

interested in the Greek pantheon.

I count myself as eclectic but am also very interested in oriental as

well, particularly feng shui.

It's no wonder moots go on way after closing time :-)

Hi Anouk

I am Pagan and I didn't recognise all the names on there either :-)

Do you agree with the description you were given?

Hi Anouk

I agree with you - bringing up boys to be 'macho' and girls to be

dependent is a very silly thing to do - and abnormal.

Hi Jo

I agree. For those I didn't believe in I went extreme no and for

those I did I went extreme right. And of course for those I believed

in but not in the way they stated, I went to the middle.

lol

I don't think it was exact, but it did get some things about me

right. Or at least I would like to think so. :)

I don't generally advocate burning books... but sometimes I reckon they're

best for keeping people warm - and those books certainly sound to be in that

category!

I think it's good to be in touch with what is generally considered to be

both masculine and feminine in each person - I personally dislike those

terms, as they are really just terms that society has decided " should " be

associated with people depending on their genitalia... which to me just

seems rather crazy. :-)
