HI All

We went to Brighton today, and visited the George veggie pub while there :-)

Colin had Korma, rice and pitta, and I had spaghetti bolognese with garlic

bread. It was very nice but very large - I couldn't finish mine, even

though it was so tasty.

Thanks Nikki

We had a takeaway tonight (being lazy). It was an Indian restaurant that

will veganise some of their dishes. It was rather tasty, but again too big.

I wish they would do smaller servings, and charge less.

Perhaps someday soon, you never know

But I surely wouldn't hold my breath for a bit ;)

I have joined a Vegan meet-up group local to me, problem is they

always meet up North. I'll get there eventually tho, need to figure

some stuff out first.

And need to stop volunteering so much of my time, as horrid as that

sounds. lol

Oh and then there is the money issue, but that may change too.

Who knows. For now I am happy to enjoy yours and everyone elses

adventures.

Yep, time to start digging through the catalogs and checking on my

seeds

Long time til planting tho...

well, a few months anywho

Nikki :)

hi fraggle,

the other day, I sent forwarded three emails from another

to another .

One had an article that happened to have the letters ELF and ALF,

the others arrived right away.

the other one took an entire day to get through.

hmm..

the advice that you guys gave me last year is going well.

my tomatoes are doing really well and my strawberries are just

wonderful.

there is very sad news going on in my life.

I am too emotional to talk about it.

I have known for a year. but it is finally a reality.

there is an old forest. a large forest. where I walk my dog in the

mornings.

well, they are building a four lane road, with a 35 miles per hour

sign and no stop light. There is a sign near my house that says

" Phase One of Webber street "

I have been upset over this, but the County says it is a done deal.

The bulldozers are chopping doing trees today. in a matter of hour.

ten tree were cut.

me and a vegan friend have taken pictures of endangered birds on this

forest and will go to the Nature Conservancy for advice.

sorry if I have already talked about this, I can't remember if I

am repeting myself, but it is actually happening and it is very sad

to see a forest go. just to releave commuters.

there have been red foxes feeding on garbage cans at night.

I don't mean to depress anyone.

These things ebb and flow I have found. We couldn't afford much for

many years, over a decade. Now we can afford a bit more. When we

retire - well - let's not think about that!

Hi Anouk

I am so sorry to hear this! Perhaps you can send these pictures to

support groups who can help as well. And start a letter writing

campaign to every elected official. Walk the area for signatures.

And then lastly, lay in front of the dozers...

Good luck and I hope it gets nipped, tho sadly it sounds like it is

already on it's way...

Hi Jo

I do agree. Not to mention it is now " your time " . The youngin's are

out of the house which leaves a bit more money in the bank. Not much I

know, but a bit more. :)

And retirement, too scary to consider!

it was..good..not great..last time we went, back in the beginning of january, i

think we picked tastier dishes..

It sounds good - y ou can't pick the best dishes every time. I'm the other

way round - really full for a long time after an Indian meal.

Sorry to hear that sad , sad, news. A terrible loss that can never be regained. When will they learn the cost of "progress"? The Valley Vegan...................Anouk Sickler <zurumato wrote: the advice that you guys gave me last year is going well. my tomatoes are doing really well and my strawberries are justwonderful. there is very sad news going on in my life. I am too emotional to talk about it. I have known for a year. but it is finally a reality. there is an old forest. a large forest. where I walk my dog in themornings. well, they are building a four lane road, with a 35 miles per hoursign and no stop light. There is a sign near my house that says"Phase One of Webber street" I have been upset over this, but the County says it

is a done deal. The bulldozers are chopping doing trees today. in a matter of hour. ten tree were cut. me and a vegan friend have taken pictures of endangered birds on this forest and will go to the Nature Conservancy for advice. sorry if I have already talked about this, I can't remember if I am repeting myself, but it is actually happening and it is very sad to see a forest go. just to releave commuters. there have been red foxes feeding on garbage cans at night. I don't mean to depress anyone. To send an email to -
