Hi Scott,

I usually leave the seeds in. As there are usually only a few seeds

per apple, and I use no more than 2 apples per smoothie, I don't think

I'n any danger. I don't notice any difference in taste.

Snopes.com addressees this here:

I have heard that too. Also I heard that ground apricot seeds have a

similar effect.

the apricot seeds/laetrile/cancer issue is quite well known and

researched:

http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/Cancer/laetrile.html

i'd like to think that " cures for cancer " are not

reduced to mere anecdotal citations (i.e. " i hear this " or

" i heard that " ).

We all would - but if nobody repeats what they have heard there will be no information and no conversation.

I have a Braun, it was given to me from Freecycle when I went to deliver some

things I was giving a member. I'm happy with it, no problems juicing greens.

I have a greenstar and absolutely love it. It has lots of power and everything

goes through it good. When I put really moist stuff, like fresh greens in, I

usually try to follow it with something drier like a carrot to force everything

through. My pulp comes out so dry it flakes apart. The old one I had left so

much juice in the pulp that it was like mush. The greenstar is expensive, but

if you use it much, you will save the extra cost with buying less stuff for the

same amount of juice. It also has an added benefit in that it grinds and

presses the juice out, but doesn't have a blade to whip it up and add air and

heat. The air ozidizes the stuff, taking out nutrition and the heat takes out

some vitimins.

Oh....I forgot to mention.....

I always give the pulp from the juice to my dogs!

You should see the two of them come running when they hear the sound of the

juicer!
