Something fizzy with caffeine. What about Pepsi or RC? Shasta or generic?

of course..coca cola may not be vegan

it contains "natural flavors" and glycerin..either of which coke admits may come from either animals or plant sources

and..it may contain sucrose..sugar....could be processed with bone char.... Lynda Sep 7, 2005 2:04 PM Re: Re: HELP PLEASE

Caffeine on a routine basis is the problem. Caffeine to aid the speed with which the aspirin works is not a problem.

Canned soups are usually loaded with preservatives. Preservatives are a problem.

Do you buy organic, non-GMO soy? I understand that the chemical residue is a big problem with soy products and also, fermented soy products are more a problem then just things like soy milk.

Hi Peter

Sorry I did not respond sooner but have been a bit behind and had

hoped by this time you would have already been feeling better!

I'm sorry you are in so much pain. Usually the only thing that works

for me is to lie in a dark and quiet room until it passes. Sometimes

a quick nap will work to rest the eyes.

Only other thing to recommend is to stay away from caffeine,

computer screens and the t.v. Try not to strain your eyes.

Sorry to hear about the kitty too. :(

I do hope you feel better soon!

Apparently Heinz vegetable soup is suitable for vegans & lentil. No cream or dairy in them or preservatives as far as I can see ( doesnt the canning process do away with the need for preservatives?)

You are right that a majority of the tinned soups in the UK are made with cream, even those that don't seem as though they should be.

My suspicion would be that a lot of tinned soups are made with cream... which, of course, wouldn't be an issue for you... of course, I could be wrong about the cream thing!!!

Thanks Jo, I will order some for myself ( my present to myself)

The Valley Vegan........Jo Cwazy <heartwork wrote:

Hi Peter

They are BioCare MicroCell Essential Fatty Acids (Linseed Oil & GLA Oil). Fairly expensive at £16.20 for 120 capsules (they are suitable for vegans). I think you are meant to take two a day, but after the first couple of weeks Colin cut down to one a day, and that seems to keep him okay. You can get them in Infinity Food shops, if you have any of those near you - but it's worth trying any healthfood shop. The link below also has them.

http://www.health4youonline.com/s_biocare.htm

I hope you manage to find some and I hope they help.

I get relatively little EFA`s, must find a suppliment. Where does he get his from?

Hi Peter

Sorry to hear you have migraine. Colin used to have terrible migraines (splitting head and vomiting for several hours at a time) until he started making sure he was having enough essential fatty acids. He hasn't had one since. Also make sure you eat regularly so your blood sugar is okay, and drink plenty of water so you are not dehydrated. Apart from that - oranges and wine can be triggers.

I hope you feel better quickly, and I'm sorry to hear about the kitten.

The weather has been up and down lately so maybe pressure playing funny buggers with my sinuses. Not touching any of the below with a barge pole until I feel better ( should make a dull birthday). Havent had much time to relax lately working 6 day weeks and leaving the house at 06:45 and not getting home until 17:45. I have been sleeping as much as poss just to keep the light out of my eyes. I`m starting to sound pathetic now, so bollocks to it.

Anyway I dont know what happened to the kitty, it was the runt of the litter, and the smallest and didnt play much with the others, so it wasnt too big a surprise, my wife is gutted though, she wanted that one.....
