Guest guest Report post Posted March 25, 2010 " Five grains are allowed in the traditional making of matzoh- wheat, barley, rye, spelt and oats. In keeping with traditional Jewish law this recipe for gluten-free Matzoh crackers is made with certified gluten-free oat flour. " from http://glutenfreecooking.about.com/ So no, Sorghum isn't one of the permitted grains. Quinoa isn't a grain and so you might try that as an alternative. Martha P.S. is sorghum flour kosher for passover? Anyone? Pam 2010/3/23 pdw <pdworkman > We're still not sure about oats. But I'm sure sorghum would work in that > recipe. Guest guest Report post Posted March 25, 2010 do you think bean or pea flour would work for the almond? We are nut free here...so was thinking golden pea flour which we use so much..makes lots of good golden colored things...and that's nice with gluten free. Thanks Ronni , " Martha Bickford " <msew wrote: > > " Five grains are allowed in the traditional making of matzoh- wheat, barley, rye, spelt and oats. Guest guest Report post Posted March 25, 2010 I was going to try amaranth flour in place of the almond as I can't have almonds either. Haven't tried it yet but when I do I'll let you know how that works out. I can't have beans anymore either so that idea is out for me! It's pretty sad when the list of foods you can eat is a lot shorter than the list of foods you can't eat! lol On Thu, Mar 25, 2010 at 3:53 PM, ronnimike <HISSPECIALTOUCH wrote: > > > do you think bean or pea flour would work for the almond?
