This is so quick to make and tasty.

style powdered seasoning*. or Vegetable Broth.

2 T. Lemon Juice, fresh

In a large saucepan, heat 3 T. oil over med. heat. Add garlic, rosemary and red

pepper flakes. Cook sitrring constantly, until it starts to brown, about 1

McKay's all vegetarian and vegan seasonings are available at most health food

I was planning to buy some of the McKay's products when I ran into the following

on the internet....after checking the ingredients in McKay's powders. Any

comments ?? Is this really OK for vegetarians?

Disodium inosinate

Disodium inosinate does not contain MSG, but works synergistically with free

glutamic

acid. When disodium inosinate is found on a food label, consumers can

be fairly certain that the labeled product contains some hidden

processed free glutamic acid (MSG). Disodium inosinate is relatively a

expensive food additive that would not be cost effective if it were not

used in the presence of MSG.

* May be prepared from meat or sardines; may trigger gout, not permitted in

foods for infants and young children

* Not normally suitable for vegetarians - usually made from meat or fish.

* E631 disodium inosinate [Flavour enhancer] [possibly of animal origin]

* It is found in instant noodles, potato chips and snacks, savoury rice, tinned

vegetables, cured meats, packet soup.

It is all vegan source. Look at their website. Tomatoes even have free glutamic

acid, I read recently. They are also low in sodium compared with other

vegetarian broth seasonings.

If you are sensitive to it or would prefer a different seasoning, try the Bill's

Best Seasonings they don't have that in them.

Or you can make your own using this recipe.

" Chicken Seasoning "

1 1/3 c. Nutrititional Yeast Flakes

3 T. Onion Powder

2 1/2 t. Garlic Powder

2 1/2 t. Salt

2 T. Parsley

1/2 t. Celery Salt

2 T. Italian Seasoning

1 t. Tumeric

Mix together and store in a ziplock bag for use in recipes that call for

Chicken Seasoning. It is good in Soups, breading meal and for use in making

Scrambled Egg Tofu. To made a " chicken " broth, mix 1 Tbsp. of this mixture with

1 c. of water.
