Here's another cookbook review that I wrote and will share with the group:

Another beautiful cookbook containing a wealth of gluten-free vegan

recipes is Pure and Simple by Tami Benton. I first heard of this

cookbook from my friend, Barbara. She is a friend of Tami Benton and

was so excited about her new cookbook and happily recommended it! This

cookbook, self-published by Benton Health Promotions, contains nearly

175 recipes, eighty of which are delicious sounding entree recipes.

Some are traditional favorites and other have exotic names like Root

Vegetables in Red Curry or Miang Kham (Thai Lettuce Bites). From

Creamy Fettuccine to Linguine with Zucchini or Lasagna Pie, there is

something to please every palate. Tami's dessert recipes include yummy

sounding treats like Banana Bread Brownies, Chocolate Mousse, and

Apple Raisin Pie. For the vegan purist, it should be mentioned that

this cookbook does contain some recipes that use honey, but

alternatives can be used without detrimental effects on the final

product. This is another great cookbook. I think it deserves mention

that both Susan O'Brien and Tami Benton are both from Washington

state. Wouldn't it be neat one day if they would meet and jointly put

on some cooking classes for the public? Once could only hope.
