Guest guest Posted July 31, 2007 Report Share Posted July 31, 2007 Vegan Caramel Sauce Source: Recipezaar. 1 cup sugar 1 cup soy milk 1 tablespoon (3 tsp) arrowroot 1 tablespoon (3 tsp) water 1/2 cup brown rice syrup 2 tablespoons (6 tsp) vegan margarine 1 teaspoon vanilla 1. Mix arrowroot and water together, blending until smooth then set aside. 2. Mix all other ingredients in heavy saucepan and bring to boil. 3. Lower heat and simmer, stirring constantly, for 2 to 3 minutes. 4. Add arrowroot and water mixture to sauce and simmer 2 to 3 more minutes. Serves 8.
