I love Sucanat and it is soooo good to use in baking! It cuts the sugar reaction

in our bodies down because it is not processed! Yummy! I use it in baking often!

This recipe's going in my file..... YUMARAMA!

Vegan Caramel Sauce

Source: Recipezaar.

 

 

1 cup sugar

1 cup soy milk

1 tablespoon (3 tsp) arrowroot

1 tablespoon (3 tsp) water

1/2 cup brown rice syrup

2 tablespoons (6 tsp) vegan margarine

1 teaspoon vanilla

 

 

1. Mix arrowroot and water together, blending until smooth then set aside.

 

2. Mix all other ingredients in heavy saucepan and bring to boil.

 

3. Lower heat and simmer, stirring constantly, for 2 to 3 minutes.

 

4. Add arrowroot and water mixture to sauce and simmer 2 to 3 more

minutes.

 

 

Serves 8.
