WANTED: Office related items for animal non-profit.

 

 

Hi everyone,

 

I am opening up offices for Animals Asia here in San Francisco and

could really

use your help. Animals Asia is a non-profit group that rescues bears

from the

horrific bear farming industry. Today, thousands of bears are held in

cages so

small, they can't move or turn. Their bodies are invaded with

unsterile steel

catheters, inserted to extract bile which is then sold in the

medicinal market.

So many bears are held in captivity and many suffer long and drawn

out lives

under these conditions.

 

Animals Asia has been working over 10 years in China to bring an end

to this

terrible practice. Because bears are poached to such low numbers in

Asia, all

bears throughout the world are now being targeted, including those in

the U.S.

We are hoping to change that and bring awareness to the people here.

 

At the moment, I am looking for free/donated/deeply discounted office

space in

San Francisco as well as basic office equipment to get us started

(paper, file

folders, printer/copier/fax combo). I know this is a big thing to ask

for... I

am realistic, but also optimistic.

 

Perhaps you know someone who works for a small company or firm that

has an extra

room and is willing to share? I will have a lot of materials

(brochures,

t-shirts, outreach items), so a larger space is ideal.

much appreciated.
