Penelope Josephides penevejay To Whom It May Concern; I have volunteered for a "kill center" ANIMAL CARE AND CONTROL THAT HAD IT'S OFFSITE center at a posh doggie gym Bisquits and Bath; ACACC was trying to "clean" it's image... BY WALKING THE ADOPTABLE DOGS USING VOLUNTEERS ASKING FOR DONATIONS

eTC. I walked abandoned and owner surrender dogs... for a three month period, I wasn't given any renumeration, I tried to talk to as many "adoptive parent" prospects and was happy that 6 of the initial ten dogs got adopted... I walked over thirty dogs in all; The manager waas very casual to never say where they went or if I was mentioned at allto the new dog "owners" it would be dubious that I had any acknowledgement of my servicesThat wasn't a big deal although at first I felt mifted, I knew the behavior of the dog from the many hours I spent on their walked and I could contribute

information to their personality...(So I thought) The manager didn't act as though it should bother me AT ALL. I continued and TRIED TO ignor this slight but it became a nasty habit of this manager, Amy Marciano. Even though I found tremendous satisfaction with this position and I grew very fond of the dogs... The manager's abusive manner was perplexing I had been always a low confidence individual; my artwork is very creative; and my writing appears in MUSESREVIEW. I am in the google for my Curatorial work etc... I had a terrible time with employment for a dangerously long period and had some hope to get some paying clients but that was a bonus I mainly concentrated on the neediness of the adoption dogs and I had no spare time to advertise that I could work at this also; as a sensitivity trainer for the dogs... I learned on the job and also because I had tended needy dogs before. The point is that I have been in a state of distress about the treatment I received. I don't think I did anything to cause the abuse that I received and I will document that as follows. I was told that I walked the dogs for too long... The manager told me to ask everytime to have a handler clean the stalls, even though I couldn't find a handler and the dogs were on their own urine for an hour or more... I don't know how to excuse this conduct by the manager of the adoption center except that people who abuse dogs (PETA research i did on my own) The

confinement for many of the dogs I walked was painful to see and the manager didn't seem to care about walk necessities, she din't search the many applications for volunteers and said that there was "enough volunteers" at many of the adoption days. She didn't tell me of the adoption days and I can't again understand this abuse... I had NEVER been treated this negligently and slandrerously even by the handlers. I volunteered to teach english as a second language at International Center many positions in the charity feild I performed well and ii received volunteer celebration invitations etc. . I walked a dog, Macy to get her "socialized because her confinement was turning her into an aggressive dog... I suffered the pain to she her handled by the handlers with abuse and at best indifference. What I am asking for now is advice. Please respond to the e-mail with any input you might have... I don't know how I can be asked anymore for my time... The bill I have now for my recent death came to me by Manhattan Vet. Group and I suffered the death of my cat in my arms... I was told there how could I bring my cat if I didn't know how to pay... I thionk I deserve some credit for the time volunteering and have an abayance to this bill; I don't expect to be able to pay but I did pt in time many times without pay and I

want AT THE VERY LEAST A reinforcement to the cat-or dog lovers to untangle this mess... I am stressed to the limit by the callous treatment; I want to move to a rescue farm and escape this mean and destructive NYC... Please advise I want to work with animals... newshttp://www.dnaindia.com/report.asp?NewsID=8303 & CatID=1On receiving information about the terrible condition of two sick cows attached to the Monday 31st October 2005, PAWS received a call from local residents of ShivTemple Trust Dombivli (East),PAWS representatives Vishal, Kishore & Nilesh went to inspect and found a cowunable to srtand and with its uterus outside its body due to premature delivery. Another cow was lying injured and paralyzed in her own filth. Both were unattended. An inspection revealed that no drinking water was available to the cows in the cow shed the entire floor of the shed was dirty and damaged, the drainage system was not working and cow dung was smeared all over the bodies of the cows who were tied to an uncomfortably short leash. The lady manager Ms. Nirmala Thakkar was reluctant to take action towards helping the suffering cows – they would have allowed the cows to die. After a lot of

protest and with help of BombaySPCA the cows were hospitalized and a complaint was filed at Ram Nagar Police Station against the Trust who owns this small shelter .Please write a strong letter warning goshala trust regarding ill treatment of cows on address given below or email your letter to us at nileshforpaws or pawsdombivli or write toThe presidentShri gyaneshwar math trustLaxmi narayan laneMatunga,(C.R.)MUMBAI-400019, IndiaTel: 24015416, 24082503‘’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’3.
