Our Veggie Mentor Program may be a good fit for you! Currently, our mentors offer advice and coaching in a special online forum. Or do you think this is a really great idea and want to get involved? On Sunday, 8/21, we'll have our first meeting where1) volunteers can meet to support the Veggie Mentor Program, 2) folks needing support from the program can meet to discuss, in a supportive, friendly environment, the challenges that they face in their veg*n path. They weren't born vegan, but they learned. Combined, they have over 25 years of experience living as vegetarians and dealing with issues and topics related to family, friends, and the workplace. They started the Veggie Mentor Program to be a supportive community for aspiring veg*ns. They believe a vegan diet is the most compassionate lifestyle available, but they are advocates of any reductions people can make in reducing their consumption of animal products. About the meeting: 1:30 to 2:30: Discuss strategies to increase awareness and use of the Veggie Mentor program. We have an open position for Veggie Mentor Program manager. 2:45 to 4:00: Support group meeting for people who would like to connect in person with others transitioning to veg*nism, and share/discuss concerns in a supportive style with like-minded folks.
