Mark Your Calendars for the Oakland Walk for Farm Animals 2004!

This national event is organized by activists around the country to raise awareness about the plight of farmed animals and to raise money for Farm Sanctuary (www.farmsanctuary.org).

WHEN: Saturday, October 2nd, World Farm Animals Day! Most likely 11:00 a.m. registration - 12:00 walk

WHERE: Splash Pad Park in Oakland - during the Grand Lake Farmer's Market! This year we'll be right on the lawn with all the other vendors. Great exposure and potential on-the-spot walkers!

WHO: Organizers: Colleen Patrick-Goudreau and Christine Morrissey -

Volunteers needed for several tasks. Please let us know if you're willing to spread the word. We had 60 people last year and a little media coverate. We can double the number this year if everyone registers themselves plus one walker! Write to oakland for questions or to volunteer.

More details to follow...

For the animals,

Colleen & Christine
