Guest guest
Floyd Stafford has notified me of this interview with Dr. Mercola you all might find interesting. ---------------- Q: For our readers who aren't familiar with you, what is your personal and medical background? What is your goal? It is my vision to transform the existing medical paradigm from one addicted to pharmaceuticals, surgeries and other methods that only conceal or remove specific symptoms - with morbid results to our health and economy -- to one focused on treating and preventing the underlying causes. My primary mechanism for facilitating this transformation is through the Internet: unlike TV, radio, newspapers and the other vehicles of communication, the Internet is still not owned by the government or corporate bodies who, for their commercial gain, inevitably control what facts can and cannot be stated. My web site, www.Mercola.com, and the free bi-weekly email newsletter available there, provide the public with comprehensive, clear and researched guidance on the best nutrition, medical, emotional therapy and lifestyle choices to improve and maintain total health. Mercola.com averages about two million visitors per month and is now the world's eighth most-visited health site. This summer we passed the New England Journal of Medicine and now have more visitors than any medical journal site in the world. The number one most-visited site is currently the National Institutes of Health, but we will soon deploy innovative new features that I am convinced will take us to number one. One of these features will enable contributions from healthcare experts throughout the world who are focused on addressing the causes of disease rather than using symptomatic band-aids. ----------- Read the full interview here: http://www.mercola.com/2002/oct/23/testosterone_magazine.htm Y! Guest guest
It's great that so many people are interested in non-traditional sources of health information. I have to say it's a darn shame they are turning to this guy for it. I read a ranting essay on his site a few months ago singing the praises of meat and discouraging people from " trying " to be vegetarian. I don't see it there now, but he does recommend LOTS of protein from animal sources as part of his eating plan. It's too bad he is so anti-vegan because he seems to have the rest of it down as far as eating mostly raw, no vaccines, no medicines, etc. There's a lesson here for us, though: we should make the most of our website as a resource for aspiring raw fooders! Thanks for posting this, Attila.
