I took away from this story further evidence that drug

manufacturers will stop at nothing to make money in

the guise of " health care " . (The labeling of this drug

combo for African-Americans happened due to the

potential for getting a new patent since it suddenly

had a " new " application).

The Dr defending the drug seemed to defend its value

only based on distinct stress in the lives of black

people in America, perhaps particularly black men. His

vision of treatment is not holistic. (I wonder if/how

much he was paid to say what he said?)

In clinical studies, if a drug works on white people,

it's assumed that it will work on everyone equally.

And the truth is that race is a perception, not

genetically or biologically discernable outside of the

construct of the mind and society so, though screwy,

that's slightly okay.

The real danger of this drug is not that it exists,

but that it will be marketed widely and seen by the

masses as proof that races are biologically or

genetically different, and therefore providing

" scientific " arguements for pure racism a la eugenics

and the Army studies during World War 1. With about

the same quality of scientific inquiry, I might add.

Yea, I have a lot to say about this. It really angers

me. If anyone know of organizing against this drug or

has ideas on ways to stop it, please contact me with

that information.

thanks for reading.
