Greetings Members:

Allow me to congratulate any of you who made it through the past 30 days fasting for whatever number of days and methods you chose to use. Any amount of down time for the digestive system for cleansing should prove beneficial. Without mentioning any names, I can say that there were at least 11 of use who started out together on this fast and as far as I know, 4 of us did hang in there to the end.

I'd like to thank all of the well wishers during our 30 day coconut water fast and since I fell behind many, many days ago on posting a daily log, I'll attempt to sum up my experience in a nut shell, so to speak. My previous fasts consisted of dining on pure water only (completely void of any nutrients) for either 14 or 21 days. The benefits were remarkable, especially the weight loss. The symptoms were challenging and dastardly. Based on what I'd read and been told, the proper term was called a "healing crises." What the heck? I've always used my vacation time to assure that my body received proper rest as it healed, repaired, rebuilt and detoxed.

The past thirty days were quite the opposite. After additional research and advisement we were convinced to use fresh young coconut water however, intermittently, we did consumed pure water and sometimes with celtic sea salt which provided me with lots of nutrients. One major fact was proven to me though, according to Shelton, Bragg, Airola, Moser, Graham and Lockman, full benefits are realized after a fast when you are not fed nutrients of any kind during the fast. While my system did receive a break from digesting food, I believe energy was still stolen from the complete fasting process and used for digesting the nutrient from the coconut water and salt water.

The benefits were not as remarkable this time, I experienced no significant weight loss and hardly any challenging symptoms. My energy level never failed me. My body did not require me to rest as much as before, although I did enjoy very much my time off work. Towards the end I really began to miss the smell of my fresh garden kitchen and fruit bowls and in the last week, while I didn't experience any hunger, I just wanted to eat something which made me realize how addicted to food I really am. The experience was very educational and I believe I've developed yet another addiction. . . WATER FROM FRESH YOUNG COCONUTS!

Well that's all folks! Let the eating begin! On a serious note, we will only consume fresh juicy fruits through maybe the 6th of Feb.

Good Health to You

Right

on Elaine…

There

is NOTHING like a true water fast and thanks for sharing your experience with us. I have

always done just water when I do extended fasts and just know I’m getting

the most bang for the buck. However, it would be fun to do a diet of coconut

water just to experience the way it feels!
