Do you have these problems with your raw food diet?

1. You are addicted to your favorite cooked foods and going

out to restaurants.

2. Friends and family discourage you, think you are weird

and tell you that you'll get sick

3. You are afraid of becoming too thin.

4. You fear that you aren't getting enough nutrients like

protein, calcium, and B12.

5. You have been eating raw but aren't getting the results

you expected.

6. You fear eating fruit because of its sugar content and

hybridization.

The next NJ Raw Food Support Group Meeting will discuss and

debunk common problems, myths and misconceptions about the

vegan raw food diet. The meeting will be held at the George

St. Co-op in New Brunswick this coming Tuesday October 21,

from 7:45 to 9:45pm. Directions to the George St. Co-op are

at the end of this email.

Joel Brody and I will lead the meeting.

Let me tell you a little about Joel. Joel has been very

instrumental in getting these meetings going in New Jersey.

The reason being is that he actively mentored and encouraged

me to become a 100% raw foodist. He also comes as often as

he can to the NJ meetings to lend his support.

I think of Joel as the New York Raw Food Missionary. He's

in contact with many people, including celebrities and he

gets many of them to attend these raw food meetings or at

least to go out to dinner with him at a raw food restaurant.

For over the last 5 years Joel has been 100% raw. In the

70's he was 100% raw for 2.5 years but he had no support

group and so he eventually was inveigled into eating brown

rice to put some weight on him. Of course, later he realized

his mistake of being told to eat cooked food by someone who

wasn't as healthy as he was.

Joel religiously attends the raw foods support group

meetings and is one of the leaders of the Accent on Wellness

meetings in NYC. Joel really knows his stuff. So I hope you

can come out and we'll try to help you with whatever may be

holding you back in your progress with eating a raw food

diet and living the healthiest lifestyle possible.

Directions to the:

George St. Co-op

89 Morris St.

New Brunswick, NJ 08901

732-247-8280

Driving Directions:

Take the NJ Turnpike exit number nine. Stay to your right

as you exit and take Rte 18 North. This heads you towards

New Brunswick. It's only a few miles away.

You'll pass two traffic lights. The second traffic light is

for Commercial Ave. There is an Exxon station on your left

and I believe a Gulf station as well.

Shortly after the traffic light for Commercial Ave, there

is an exit on the right hand side for New St. Take that exit

and go to the third traffic light.

At that light, turn left onto Livingston Ave. At the first

block that you can, turn left onto Morris St. The Co-op is

the first building on the left, 89 Morris St. There is

metered parking on the street. I believe they only check the

meters until 5pm. Nevertheless, you'll have to read the

signs and follow them. The Co-op also has 3 of its own

parking spots on the left hand side.

Walking directions to the George St. Co-op from the New

Brunswick Train Station.

Make sure to get off at the main New Brunswick stop. There

is a Jersey Ave, stop which isn't the right one.

The first thing you want to do is to find Albany St. or Rte

27. This is a major street that runs parallel with the train

tracks. If you come out of the front of the train station

you'll run into Albany St. You'll also see The Ferren Deck

Mall across the street. There is a University Book Store and

further to the left is a McDonald's. So from the front of

the train station you have to go left down Albany St.

You walk two blocks and make a right turn on to George

Street. You'll walk by about 5 or 6 traffic lights. (Short

blocks)

Then you turn right at Livingston Ave. From there you walk

up past one traffic light. The next block after that light

is Morris St. You turn left there and the George St. Co-op

will be the first building on the left hand side of the

street. Go upstairs for the meeting.
