My God.

Germany, despite all the regulations we have here, is hardly a safe haven

for animals - having laws, as we all know, is one thing, abiding by them

another - but this ...

Please correct me if 'Im wrong - but with China and other Asian countries,

it seems such a general attitude thing - much more so than here. It's must

not common to care, or be bothered by what happens to a live animal. It

might just be a piece of vegetable they're dealing with. Same thing, same

treatment ...

I've recently read that times are changing in Asia, and this is a good thing.

But it is an uphill struggle. And a long one.

Many more will suffer and die - like this - until we see any real headway.

And to realise that always makes me sad, and angry.

Mind you, the seals in Canada are not much better off right at the moment.

So I guess a 'civilized Western country' like Canada is not immune either

to such atrocities.

Regards,

Diana
