Guest guest
Hi everyone. I saw a strange idea on a veg. cooking show and wondered if anyone else ever tried it. It was called something like, " Cooking with Caroline, " or something, a PBS show, that I never saw before, I just happened to catch a few minutes. Anyway, she spread red miso on a cheese cloth and placed a hunk of tofu on top, and smooshed miso al around the tofu. THen, she wrapped it in cheesecloth and let sit on counter for 3-4 days. Then, after wiping off and discarding the miso, the tofu is then dry and flavored and she crumbled it with spices and alittle water, and put it in a food processor to make a fettucini alfredo like sauce for pasta. It sounds wierd, but I am trying it- today is the 2nd day. I can't image that tasting like miso will give the impression of alfredo sauce, but we'll see. ???
