Combine honey, butter and cinnamon in a small saucepan to make a glaze. Pour over radishes and bake uncovered at 350 until tender, about 30 minutes. Combine the vinegar, soy sauce, and barbecue sauce in a small bowl, blend in the oil. Pour over the Daikon mixture and season with salt and pepper. Stir in cheese and grated radishes. Drop spoonfuls into a small amount of hot oil and sauté until golden brown on both sides. Drain excess oil and serve hot. Assoc. : 0 0 0 3309 0 2536 * Exported from MasterCook * Red Radish Soup Recipe By :Judy's Gorman's Vegetable Cookbook Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Radishes Side Dishes Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3 tablespoons butter 3 green onions -- white part sliced 6 cups vegetable stock 1/2 pound red radishes -- rinsed, trimmed and quartered 1/4 cup long-grain rice 1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger root 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1/2 cup yogurt Saute onions in butter in saucepan until tender. Add broth, radishes and rice. Cover and cook or 20 minutes until radishes are tender. Pour into blender and process until smooth. Return to saucepan, stir in ginger and lemon juice and blend in the yogurt. Warm but do not boil. Serve garnished with chopped parsley. Assoc. : 0 0 0 1223 0 26086 0 0 * Exported from MasterCook * Stir Fried Daikon Recipe By :Judy's Gorman's Vegetable Cookbook Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Radishes Side Dishes Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon cornstarch 3 tablespoons rice vinegar 3 tablespoons soy sauce 2 tablespoons ketchup 1 large Daikon -- peeled and julienne 3 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 tablespoons water Make the sauce in a small bowl from the sugar, cornstarch, vinegar, soy sauce an ketchup. Heat the oil in the wok and add the Daikon and cook, stirring constantly for 30 seconds. Sprinkle in the water to cook and continue stirring until the Daikon begins to turn limp. Pour on the soy sauce mixture and cook until thickened.
