The guidelines are listed below and at www.SabinaFund.org The Fund honors the memory of FARM President Alex Hershaft's mother, Sabina, who passed away in 1996. Since 1999, we have awarded grants to more than 150 grassroots groups in the US and 30 other countries. ----------------- GRANT APPLICATION GUIDELINES Applications for grants ranging from $500 to $1,000 should contain no more than 3 pages and 2 brief attachments and should follow the following guidelines: 1. The applicant must be a grassroots group or coalition of such groups. 2. The project should be designed to reduce the consumption of animals. 3. The proposal should state clear, specific objective(s) sought and an action plan with specific tasks and a timeline. 4. The proposal should provide a budget showing how the funds will be spent. 5. The proposal should indicate how the expected results will be assessed and reported. 6. The proposal should indicate prior credits of the project director. 7. The proposal should not request funding for salaries, festivals, or printing of books/magazines. 8. Proposals with matching funds and/or services and likelihood that the experience gained can be applied elsewhere will receive preference. 9. Proposals from developing countries are encouraged, but Indian organizations must belong to one of the approved coalitions. 10. The proposal should be e-mailed to Sabina by July 15.
