California Passes " Healthy School Lunch " Resolution

School children in California may soon be enjoying healthy, cruelty-free

cuisine in the lunchroom. “The Healthy School Lunch†resolution passed the

California Senate floor yesterday by a vote of 23-8, giving parents, students

and

educators the right to request a daily vegetarian or vegan lunch selection in

their school districts. This endorsement from the California state Legislature

for healthier school lunch options is a major step forward, and may lead to

actual legislation in the near future.
