Hello,

I am looking for a male infertility specialist in NYC or in the E. Brunswick

area of NJ for a 36 year old male who has Zero sperm count. He said he wants

to at least increase sperm count/ motility so that he and his wife can try

IVF again.

Thank you.

There are two very good resources for this patient:

1. The American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM): www.aborm.org

.. He will be able to find Board Certified TCM Reproductive Medicine &

Infertility Specialists by going here and looking on the Certified

Practitioner's list by State.

2. The Certified Excellence in Fertility Professionals (CEFP)

Program: www.thefertilesoulcefp.org this is also a tremendous

resource for TCM Fertility Specialists.

One note:

can often be quite successful in helping Men with

Oligospermia (low sperm count/concentration) to recover levels high

enough for either IUI (intra-uterine insemination) or natural

conception, but Azoospermia (zero sperm count) is not usually helped

by .

Zero sperm count can be either Obstructive in nature (i.e. blockage of

sperm from being ejaculated with the seminal fluid), or non-

obstructive in nature (i.e. lack of production of sperm in the

testicles, for which there are many causes). In either case, the

treatment usually requires TESE (Testicular Sperm Extraction) for IVF

with ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection).

Make sure that whomever works with this patient has a clear

understanding of the nature of this patients Azoospermia in order to

determine whether or not TCM will offer any benefit. Someone who has

extensive experience with Female Infertility may or may not have a

clear understanding of Male Infertility.

Warmly,
