Doug, can you post a reminder about the rules for posting info on seminars and

such? We host seminars frequently and we'd like to post about them on CHA, but

I thought there was a restriction on commercial postings. Can you clarify?

This Mayway one was borderline and I assume you thought it went over the border

and you are probably right. Basically, one can post your own seminars as long as

it doesn't have the pricing. And you must make your posting exclusive to CHA. In

this case I wasn't sure who this and how it was coming to us so I took the price

off and approved it.

Some CHA members are trying to post mass mailings and I'm deleting them. If the

member would just write a line of " hey, i'm doing this seminar here and on this

date(s) " that is fine if not encouraged.

Others like the Tibetan stuff in Northampton is interesting to me so I let it

through, and since I'm the boss....

Anyway, do tell us about stuff You are doing.

I have no problem with using the list for commercial purposes, I just want to

know the rules so that we all have an equal opportunity to promote our gigs.

Yeah, we actually shouldn't be using the list for commercial purposes. Think of

it as telling your friends what you are doing. Again, just adding CHA to a mass

mailing list doesn't cut it.

Hello Douglas and all,

I apologize for my posting about the CEU courses. I had assumed they were okay

to post after reading of some other courses. I'll reread the posting rules more

carefully next time.

Sincerely,

Miles
