For those of you who are interested in Dr. Li Ke or dermatology might want to

look at the following article in the most recent edition of the Journal of

:

THE CLINICAL USE OF DR. LI KE'S WU SHE RONG PI TANG: CASE HISTORIES AND THOUGHTS

http://www.jcm.co.uk/catalogue.php?catID=203 & opener=0-195-203

It was written by Dr Ouyang Weiquan of the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM

and translated by yours truly (please excuse the self-promotion!). Dr Ouyang is

a disciple of Li Ke and has found the formula 'wu she rong pi tang' to be very

effective in the dermatology clinic.

Dr Li Ke had been quietly treating patients in a small city in Shanxi province

for many decades until the 2002 publication of his experiences using CM to treat

acute and serious diseases, which catapulted him into the public eye. Although

he is of a different tradition, he shares with the 'huo shen pai' (fire-spirit

school) of physicians the habit of using high doses of fuzi. He is now one of

the representatives of the new wave of 'pure CM' practitioners, who support the

use of CM treatments even in emergency or acute situations; considered by most

to be the realm of modern Western medicine.

Regards, Henry
