Guest guest
I think this discussion on methods of herbal administration is very interesting. I would think that certain methods have greater efficacy, if for no other reason than bioavailabilty. Many people have difficulty digesting pills and capsules, even the starches in granules. Lately, I have been preferring the use of liquid extracts. They have very high bioavailabilty and my patients seem to have a significantly higher compliance. (And you can stock an entire pharmacy on a couple of shelves.) I find them to be effective and offer a great deal of freedom in combining herbs and formulas. I am wondering in what form most of you prescribe herbs and if you have found certain methods more effective. Granules seem to have the highest popularity.
