Hi everyone,

I realize this is a topic of debate. I'm personally not so sure that

aspartame **CAUSES** MS, but aspartame poisoning does indeed mimic the

symptoms of MS.

I've worked with many women in perimenopause and menopause with

fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue symptoms that were virtually

eliminated when all artificial sweetners were discontinued.

This is an interesting PDF on the subject, for anyone interested.

The " experts " don't know what causes MS. I was diagnosed with 8 years ago (1997)

and I've been showing symptoms since 1972, age 16.

I used to have super powers but my therapist took them away

MS has been around long before aspartame ever came about.

I have had ms and Fibro since I was 14 and am now 39. I have never used

aspartame unless it was in something I ate and was not aware of it.

Granted you can be allergic to aspartame or have a reaction to it like my 15

year old son. He broke out in big red blotches once after having diet soda at a

relatives house. After a dose of benadryl it went away.

Hi Veronica,

As I wrote in my post -- I realize this is a topic of debate. I'm

personally not so sure that aspartame **CAUSES** MS, but aspartame

poisoning does indeed mimic the symptoms of MS.

My reason for sharing this wasn't to suggest that it was aspartame

that has **caused** her symptoms but rather that her symptoms COULD be

aspartame poisoning and not MS at all.

Just another one of many things to consider without the advantage of

knowing more. I have no idea... maybe this woman has never had a diet

soda in her life! Wouldn't it be wonderful though if it really were

just a reaction to aspartame and nothing more?!
