I lived in Toromto for awhile and loved it. It is a wonderful, clean and

exciting city. Good schools, nice country easily accesible out of town and

great parks in town. One of the best public transit systems ever.

Winter is cold but not too bad..the weather is probably the main downfall...

I hate Toronto. I can only visit for one day before I want to leave. I lived

there for two years and found it unfriendly and pretentious. I find that it also

has a stressed out negative feel about it. Things may have changed but I would

never move back. I preferred living in Vancouver where people are kind and

beauty is everywhere. Sorry if I offended any Torontonians but I really can't

stand the city.

Anyone live in Toronto? Theres a possibility that we may move there.

Gordon's Company doens't really want him to telecommute and suggested that

if we really are hell bent on getting out of here (I'M the one who's

hellbent on gettng out of here) why not try Toronto as they have an office

there.

Now. I don't know much about T at all. Except for, if it's not snowing,

it's raining. So. Anyone out there got any info for me and yes, I'm google

- trawling later, but a first hand perspective is always appreciated.

Never lived in Canada. Visited and lived just across the border, would be

an interesting experience....

Cheers!

Jessica I'm sorry you had a bad feeling towards Toronto, I have lived

here for 25 years and Its one of the best cities in the world. It's also

one of the safest.

I love it here...all large cities have there good and bad points, and

I'm sure that If I was in Vancouver, I would see the negative things

that you see in Toronto. As for the people being unfreindly, thats just

silly, we have over a million people living in this city, I work for a

major Canadian bank and have met my fare share of nasty people, But 99 %

of the people whom I meet on a daily basis are wonderful, giving, honest

, Friendly individuals.

This city has gone through a lot of crap during recent years what with

SARS and a local child being kidnaped, raped and murdered, and this city

poured its heart out. I had a sister who was terminally ill, complete

strangers helped us out, over 300 people came to her funeral...Toronto

may not be perfect, But show me a city that is, including Vancouver.

I did take offence to your comments, Woobey, when you are ready to see

what T/O has to offer, come stay with me, I'm sure you will love it as

much as I did.

I wanted to point out that it's not for everyone. Some people love it and some

people don't. So far, I had read only positive things about the city and I

thought it was fair to give another perspective, one that I share with many

others that I know.
