Guest guest
I had read - not sure if it was here or not - that frankinsence and sandlewood were good to apply (neat) to the skin in order to reduce or even get rid of age spots on the face. I know I should have asked before I lept...but I'm about 30 days into applying frankinsense onto my brown spots on face and forearms....I do have to say that they are greatly diminished - and I know it's not just 'in my head' LOL ... my concern though is that the areas on my cheeks where I'm applying it to now feel a bit rough - has anyone had any other similar experiences? I usually apply am/pm neat after washing my face so that the pores are open, and then wait a while and then apply a moisturizer (Aveeno) to help soften. Should I be combining the frk with an oil, maybe jojoba, instead of applying it neat? any experiences with sandlewood? thanks guys! hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving!!! I'm catching up on email now - going to the archives to see if there were any YL responses to that ART stuff that YL is now selling..... thanks! Guest guest
Hi Pam, Frankincense has been used for centuries to beautify the skin. It's especially good for mature skin and blemishes. I've never heard that it's good for age spots, but hey, I'll try it! If my memory serves me well, the key to the benefits is to use just a very little Frankincence in your carrior oil. More can actually be drying and will certainly defeat the purpose! Sorry I don't have any exact amounts to provide you with. Have you tried organic coconut oil topically yet? My sun damaged, mature skin is loving it! Michelle www.holisticmenopause.com
