Hi everyone.

I haven't seen this patient yet but thought i'll ask on the forum for anyone's

advice or experience with this kind of thing.

He basically overdosed on Salvia back in June. He was using it to explore

shamanic visions.

He is back home but has still a number of severe mental and physical symptoms.

He can't walk or drive. Has no balance. keeps crashing into things. An aversion

to people. Problems with self cleanliness. Got very scared while he was using

Salvia.

Sorry not much of a history but was wandering if there is that was used

traditionally for this?

Thanks

May

Hi May,

It is important to know what type of salvia...it could be anything from Dan Shen

to Salvia Divinorum. It may effect the treatment.

Be well,

Bob

could easily have pushed him over the edge. Also he should get a full

neurological exam to make sure that he didn't have a stroke.

Use a lot of points with " shen " in the name, combining ht7(yuan source) with

heart 1 is a good technique for alzheimers it leads the shen back to the it's

home, maybe that could help...Head needles, shen calming points, kidney yin

points will help cool the mind which will add some effect...Some extra points

have a strong mental effect, there are some good one's for this purpose on the

back of the ear and sole of the foot that also work well for epilespy.

Sounds like diviner's sage(a leaf) not dan shen(a root) both in the mint

family...

Herbal yin and shen tonics could be helpful too
