I think parabens are a chemical related to alcohol, rubbing alcohol and other

petroleum based products.

I think the idea dates back to a study done a few years ago where they took

healthy breast tissue from women who had breast cancer, and from a comparable

group that did not and performed a chemical analysis of of the difference and

then crunched the numbers with statistics. One aspect was the presents of

parabens as related to breast cancer, which gave rise to the paraben-free

cosmetics. (I don't see how it makes sense if you stick you fingers in rubbing

alcohol all day long)

The other aspect had to do with fatty acids. Healthy women had more omega 3 and

omega 9 present.

I think it similar to the current scare about plastics and microwaves.

If you considered and acted on all these aspects concurrently, I am sure it

added up to a benefit in the long run.

Traditional pearl cream from china is pearl powder in a petroleum base product;

maybe the newer ones use a natural base. Does anyone know?

Re: pearl cream supplier

I've always heard about the scare of " parabens " . The Precious Pearl Cream

has two kinds. What's the risk with them?

Anecdotally, especially Asian women love to have white pearly skin, the

color of porcelain China.

Pearl cream can relieve acne and clear inflammation as well, as long as it's

not too oily (for people w/ oily skin).

Pearl powder is used internally for insomnia and skin issues as well.

Angela,

The one I've been using does not have petroleum in it.  It was made by Golden

Flower, but they have discontinued producing it, due to " short shelf life " .
