Vaccines Don’t Cause Autism, Pediatricians Do---CORRECTION: PARENTS DO!

I disagree with this in most cases.

The average person does not have the necessary qualifications to do research on complex biochemical issues. Therefore, he must place his trust in someone. In cases like this he places his trust in someone who has had 12 years plus of education past high school and earns a handsome price for his services which are considered standards of practice by entire governing boards of medicine.

I'm sorry, but I believe the onus must be placed on the profession of medicine and the purveyors of drugs and the practice of medicine.

The people who visit this site are in the minority in that they have been made aware of the inadequacies of todays medical profession and will even dare question the "authorities" regarding medical practices. Only when things go wrong do they take exception to the prevailing rules of order.

On average a parent rarely goes beyond high school academics and up to that level of education they are taught that doctors are "gods". Even college grads are not taught to think for themselves. Our educational system stands behind the doctors in being at fault for the horrible mess that our health system is today.--- On Wed, 1/13/10, cwmsknight <cwmsknight wrote:

J.B. Handley makes some valid points, but as I read through the list of errors his pediatrician made, I noted the lack of acknowledgement of parental responsibility. Why did he allow the vaccines? Or the antibiotic or Tylenol use? Why did they accept the doctor's word about the missed milestones at 14 months? Perhaps he was uninformed during those years, and has since awakened to the devastating results of vaccines. But I would guess his doctor is also uninformed.Parents are responsible for doing the research, being the family health advocate, and not blindly trusting the medical community with the precarious health of our children. I don't care how experienced or learned medical professionals are; they should NOT be blindly trusted with our health. If we do trust a doctor so thoroughly that we don't do our own research and ask questions, then when mistakes are made, we need to take some responsibility as
